Christian Lovis - Präsident der SGMI

Christian Lovis is professor of clinical informatics at the University of Geneva and leading the Clinical Information System (CIS) Unit at the Geneva University Hospitals. He is a medical doctor trained in Internal Medicine with special emphasis on emergency medicine. In parallel, he studied Medical Informatics at the University of Geneva focusing on clinical information systems. In 1998, developed a natural language entry system for the CPOE in the Veterans Affairs’s Vista computerized patient record in Seattle. In 2000, he graduated with a Master in Public Health from the University of Washington. He is the author of a large number of peer-reviewed papers and an editorial board member of major journals in medical informatics, such as the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, Methods of Information in Medicine and The International Journal of Medical Informatics. Christian is the president of the Swiss Medical Informatics Association; the secretary of the European Federation of Medical Informatics. He is chairing the Health Information System working group of the International Medical Informatics Association and the Traceability working group of the European Federation of Medical Informatics. He is co-chairing the “standard and architecture” working group of the Swiss eHealth federal coordination committee. Christian is member of several working groups at the European Union for ICT activities, such as impacts of health records, policies around secondary usage of clinical data, or regulation for the usage of RFID in healthcare. He is the clinical leader of the DebugIT Eu project of the 7th framework that intend to develop a distributed pan-European network around infectious disease surveillance using clinical information systems.

Judith C. Wagner - Kassiererin

Judith Wagner hat nach dem Studium der Medizinischen Informatik an der Universität Heidelberg am Hôpital Cantonal Universitaire de Genève in Medizinischer Informatik promoviert. Sie war in Universitätsklinika praktisch tätig, hat bei H+ Die Spitäler der Schweiz die Spitalinformatik und -statistik und auch die Arbeitsgruppe Fallgruppierungssysteme und Spitalfinanzierung (DRG) geleitet. Anschliessend war sie Leiterin Informatik-Management im Kantonsspital Aarau.
Neben einem Lehrauftrag an der Universität Heidelberg hat sie auch das NDS Medizinsiche Informatik an der Fachhochschule Bern mit aufgebaut und dort doziert. Darüber hinaus war sie gutachterlich tätig und Mitglied von Expertengruppen im Bereich eHealth des Europarates und der Europäischen Kommission.
Sie ist heute Leiterin eHealth bei der FMH, gleichzeitig auch Mitglied des Projektleitungsgremium un Co-Teilprojektleiterin des Teilprojektes Standards und Architektur im Koordinationsorgans eHealth und Mitglied der Expertengruppe eHealth des EDI.

Marc Oertle

Marc Oertle hat nach dem Studium der Humanmedizin an der Universität Bern doktoriert und die Ausbildung zum FMH Innere Medizin an diversen Schweizer Spitälern absolviert. Im Anschluss daran COO der medpoint AG gefolgt von einer Oberarzt-Stelle in Innerer Medizin kombiniert mit Medizin-Informatik am Spital Thun. Seit 2004 ist er Leitender Arzt der Inneren Medizin und Medizin-Informatik in der Spital STS AG mit Schwerpunkt in der Systemintegration von klinischen Informationssystemen insbesondere im Hinblick auf Qualitäts- und Prozessoptimierung sowie Patientensicherheit.
Postgraduate Ausbildungen im Bereich Medizin-Informatik absoliverte er an der Universität Genf (Informatique Médicale) und an der Erasmus Universität Rotterdam (NL) mit einem Master Abschluss in Health Information-Managment 2008.

Christian Hay

Born Zurich, Switzerland, 1954, married with 2 children, lives in Rolle.

Christian Hay has a track record of over 20 years in Healthcare. He played a leading role in the implementation of the EAN.UCC System (now GS1 System) in narcotics control in Switzerland, logistics between pharmaceutical companies and wholesalers and aspects of the new billing rule for Health insurance providers (TARMED). He works for over 10 years for GS1 organisations - to address the specific standardised identification needs of the healthcare sector. Traceability and product authentication are the key issues for a safe supply chain; patient safety at the point of care requires appropriate labelling on the single units (pre-filled syringes, vials, blistered tablets) as well as appropriate database information (so that scanning at the point of care matches the prescription). He has been involved in several hospital projects in Switzerland and France with barcode and RFID as support to enhance accuracy and reduce risks; he coached some of these hospitals in the drawing of new process managements.
Christian is currently liaising GS1 Healthcare with other standard organisations as HL7, ICCBBA, ISO TC 215 and CEN TC 251. Christian has been the first Chairman of IHE Suisse (2010-2012) and elected Convenor of the Working Group „Pharmacy“ within ISO TC 215 (medical informatics).

Susanna Bürki Sabbioni

Susanna Bürki Sabbioni hat die Pflegeausbildung am Lindenhofspital in Bern und die Zusatzausbildung für Intensivmedizin am Inselspital in Bern absolviert.
Es folgten fünfzehn Jahre klinische Tätigkeit in den Bereichen Innere Medizin und Intensivmedizin am Inselspital. In der Direktion Pflege/MTT des Inselspitals war sie anschliessend während zehn Jahren zuständig für die Leistungserfassung Pflege,
2004 absolvierte sie das Nachdiplomstudium Medizininformatikmanagement an der Hochschule für Technik und Informatik in Bern.
Am Kantonsspital Uri hat sie die Leitung des Klinikinformationssystems, Schwerpunkt CPOE inne. Es folgte eine Berufung an das Universitätsspital Basel für die elektronische Pflegedokumentation. Ab April 2013 wird Frau Bürki Sabbioni als Projektleiterin bei der Firma CISTEC AG arbeiten.

Pascal Walliser

Leiter Informatik, Solothurner Spitäler AG (soH), Solothurn

Pascal M. Walliser, geboren 1970 in Basel (Schweiz). Nach der Grundschule besuchte er das Mathematische Naturwissenschaftliche Gymnasium in Basel und schloss 1989 mit der Matur Typ C ab. Von 1989 bis 1995 studierte er an der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Basel Humanmedizin und schloss mit einem eidgenössischen Staatsexamen ab. 1996 promovierte er zum Doktor der Medizin und liess sich parallel dazu zum Truppenarzt der Schweizer Armee ausbilden. Von 1996 bis 2000 arbeitete er als Assistenzarzt zuerst auf der Anästhesie und später in der Inneren Medizin am Bürgerspital Solothurn. Im Jahr 2000 wechselte er in den Direktionsstab des Bürgerspital Solothurn als Informatik-Koordinator. Ab 2002 arbeitete er für das Spitalamt des Kanton Solothurn innerhalb der Informatik-Abteilung der Solothurner Spitäler (IAS) als Projektleier für medizininformatische Projekte. 2006 wurde er mit Gründung der Solothurner Spitäler AG zum Leiter der soH-Informatik berufen. Nebst der Verantwortung für die Informatikstrategie der soH, sind Dr. Wallisers fachlichen Schwerpunkte namentlich radiologische Informatiksysteme, elektronische Patientenakte, servicebasierende Applikationsintegration und Mobilitätskonzepte. Daneben ist er seit 2005 für die Fachhochschule Bern im Nachstudiengang für Medizininformatik als Prüfungsexperte tätig. In seiner militärischen Funktion betreute er bis Ende 2008 als Fachexperte das Informations- und Koordinationssystem IES des Koordinierten Sanitätsdienstes, welches unter anderem am World Economic Forum WEF und an der Fussball-Europameisterschaft Euro08 zum Einsatz kam. Bis Anfang 2013 hat Dr. Walliser schwerpunktmässig ein Team geleitet, welches verschiedene Fachanwendungen mittels Webtechnologie und serviceorientierter Architektur in eine unternehmensweit verfügbare Informationsplattform Namens „Medical Cockpit“ integriert und damit breit zugänglich gemacht hat.

Jean-Paul Hofstetter

Jean-Paul Hofstetter, geboren 1971, Heimatorte St.Gallen und Bern (Schweiz). Nach der Grundschule besuchte er das Mathematisch Naturwissenschaftliche Gymnasium in Wattwil und schloss 1992 mit dem Maturitätszeugnis Typus C ab. Von 1992 bis 1997 studierte er am Departement Informatik der Eidgenössischen Technischen Hochschule Zürich (ETHZ) Informatik mit Nebenfach Betriebswirtschaftslehre. Dabei engagierte er sich als Hilfsassistent auch in der Forschungsgruppe Graphische Datenverarbeitung. Er schloss das Studium 1997 als Diplomierter Informatik Ingenieur ETH ab. Von 1997 bis Ende 2003 arbeitete er als Senior Manager und Unternehmensberater bei der Accenture AG Schweiz, im Bereich IT Solution Delivery in der Financial Services Branche (Banken, Börse). Hierbei war er bei verschiedenen Kunden im Einsatz, in der Software Entwicklung, als IT Architekt und im Management von komplexen IT Entwicklungsprojekten. Anschliessend gründete er die ValueLogic GmbH, die von Anfang 2004 bis Ende 2007 in der Unternehmensberatung tätig war und mehrere Mitarbeiter beschäftigte. Gleichzeitig war er bei einer grossen Bank als Projekt- und Programmleiter für komplexe IT Entwicklungs- und Migrationsprojekte im Einsatz und als Coach von Projektleitern. Seit Anfang 2008 ist er bei der Helsana Versicherungen AG als Leiter Business Engineering Leistungssysteme beschäftigt. Dabei ist er fachlich verantwortlich für die Applikationsarchitektur, Fachkonzepte und Prozesse im Leistungsbereich, speziell in der Leistungsverarbeitung. Ausserdem ist er engagiert in Branchenprojekten (z.B. eHealth, eKARUS).

Martin Graf

Martin Graf wurde 1963 in Bern geboren. An der Ingenieurschule Bern studierte er Fachrichtung Elektrotechnik und Elektronik und absolvierte anschliessend ein Nachdiplomstudium in Informatik. Diese Ausbildung ergänzte er 2000 mit einem Master in Information Technology Management und 2006 mit einem MBA an der Alaska Pacific University und an der Donau-Universität Krems.
Bevor Martin Graf im Herbst 2006 die Verantwortung für die Informatik am Inselspital übernahm, leitete er während sechs Jahren das Service Center Information Technology Services bei der SRG SSR idée suisse mit den Schwerpunkten Software Entwicklung, Networking & Security, Computing & Helpdesk sowie Engineering.

Après un doctorat en médecine obtenu à l’Université de Genève pour des travaux sur la reconstruction tri-dimensionnelle d’images de tomographie par émission de positrons, puis une spécialisation en médecine interne dans le service du Professeur Francis Waldvogel aux Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, le Dr Antoine Geissbuhler effectue une formation post-doctorale à l’Université de Pittsburgh puis à Vanderbilt University, où il est nommé professeur adjoint et vice-chairman de la Division d’Informatique Biomédicale, sous la direction des Professeurs Randolph Miller et William Stead. Il y développe des outils d’informatique clinique et de gestion des connaissances médicales. En 1999, il rentre à Genève pour prendre la succession du Professeur Jean-Raoul Scherrer à la direction du service d’informatique médicale des Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, ainsi que la chaire d’informatique médicale de la faculté de médecine de l’Université de Genève, reconnue comme chaire UNESCO de télémédecine et téléenseignement multidisciplinaire. En 2004, il est nommé directeur du département de radiologie et informatique médicale de la faculté de médecine. Président du conseil de la Fondation Health On the Net (www.hon.ch), il travaille à la promotion de la qualité de l’information médicale sur Internet. Il est également co-éditeur du Yearbook of Medical Informatics et du International Journal of Medical Informatics. Membre du HIMSS Europe Governing Council, il assumera dès 2010 la présidence de l’International Medical Informatics Association.

Auteur de plus de 100 publications scientifiques dans des journaux à politique éditoriale, ses recherches actuelles concernent le développement d’architectures innovantes pour les systèmes d’information de santé, ainsi que la conception de nouveaux outils informatiques visant à améliorer la qualité et l’efficience des processus de soins. Ces projets concernent aussi bien le niveau hospitalier (dossier informatisé, systèmes d’aide à la décision, gestion des connaissances), le niveau régional (e-Health), que le niveau international (Réseau de télémédecine en Afrique francophone, http://raft.hcuge.ch).

Le service d’informatique médicale (www.sim.hcuge.ch) qu’il dirige est notamment chargé de la mise en oeuvre du système d’information clinique des Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, qui comprend notamment un dossier informatisé du patient, des outils d’aide à la prescription et à la décision clinique, une gestion numérisée des images médicale, ainsi que diverses applications de télémédecine. Les activités de recherche du service incluent la représentation des connaissances médicales, l’acquisition automatisée de connaissances, le traitement du langage naturel, le traitement avancé des images médicales, les architectures des systèmes d’information, la télémédecine et le e-learning.
